Called to Bless operates three vocational training schools. They are a key part of our ministry to the underprivileged and vulnerable. By offering vocational training we equip people, particularly those in poverty and lacking a good education, with skills that will empower them to earn a better living. The classes open a door to sow the Word of God into the students, to transform their lives and create a foundation for success. For many Ugandans, particularly women, education did not progress much beyond a grade six. Few women have skills to earn money outside the home, yet often they are the sole support for their children. To operate a successful and sustainable business they need entrepreneurial knowledge and skills in addition to some marketable abilities. The training we offer has the potential to raise women, their families and their children out of poverty. We want all of our students, women, teens and men, to be self-sufficient and capable contributors to their communities. Some have found employment even before they graduate. Most important of all is that they know Christ, apply the principles of the Bible in their daily lives and business.
